St. Croix Animal Friends raise money for shelter
The St. Croix Animal Friends held their sixth-annual Raise the Woof Walk in Lakefront Park on Saturday, June 23.
The St. Croix Animal Friends held their sixth-annual Raise the Woof Walk in Lakefront Park on Saturday to raise money for a shelter the group is planning to just off I-94 at Roberts.
It was a rainy morning, but about 75 pet owners turned out, nevertheless, to participate in the walk and other activities.
“Unfortunately, we don’t have good weather, but we’ve had a great turnout – a lot of supporters that have been with us for many years come out rain or shine,” said Nette Jenkins, one of the volunteers who made the event possible.
The event also featured food from Urban Olive and Vine, music by The Bulldogs and The Two Man Band, vendor booths and games for the dogs.
