Dear Editor,
FYI. The first recalls after Walker was elected were started by the Republicans against the Democrats. They simply could not dig up sufficient signers for most of them to succeed.
Who had to pay for all of the extra primary elections when your Republicans ran numerous fake candidates?
Who has to pay for the unnecessary recount in Racine after Republican Wanggaard lost? He is grasping at his seat so he can delay Democrats a majority and collect some more paychecks for himself (more wasted money!). His loss was by a margin large enough to require him to pay something for the recount; unfortunately that amount is only $685. Can’t imagine that will cover the bill! Guess who gets left paying? We do!
If you want the losers to pay for recalls; then why not have them pay for every election? Walker certainly has plenty of out-of-state money left over to continue to buy the next decade of elections, even after outspending Barrett at least 4 to 1 in this one.
So, who is wasting our money? (See $125,000 Walker hired Texas deer consultant).
