The incident culminated with the arrest of Clinton R. Goepfert Sr., 61, of Little Canada, Minn., for domestic battery, Hudson Police Lt. Eric Atkinson reported the next day.
A fight between a man and his son-in-law brought law enforcement officers to an apartment on Aspen Drive in Hudson just before 8 p.m. Thursday.
The incident culminated with the arrest of Clinton R. Goepfert Sr., 61, of Little Canada, Minn., for domestic battery, Hudson Police Lt. Eric Atkinson reported the next day.
Both Goepfert and the son-in-law sustained non-life-threatening injuries in the fight, Atkinson said. Goepfert was taken to Hudson Hospital for treatment before being booked into St. Croix County Jail.
The fight is reported to have taken place in an apartment at 1607 Aspen Drive. Atkinson said it started over a family matter.
The daily activity log of the St. Croix County Emergency Services Dispatch Center indicates that four Hudson police officers and two county sheriff’s deputies responded to the incident, along with units from St. Croix Emergency Medical Services.
A neighborhood resident who called the Star-Observer about the incident said she saw police dogs searching the area.
Atkinson said the search was for the son-in-law, who had fled from the apartment through a window to escape from Goepfert.
Officers eventually found the younger man and left the scene at about
10:15 p.m., Atkinson said.
