Hudson junior Kindra Witthus has been honored by the Wisconsin Fatspitch Softball Coaches Association by being named to the WFCA All-Northwest District First team and All-State Second Team for her play with the Raiders this season.

Witthus, a three-year starter at catcher for the Raiders, was previously named to the All-Big Rivers Conference First Team for the second straight year. She earned All-BRC Second team honors as a freshman in 2010.

Witthus tied senior Lexi Smith for the team lead in home runs, with nine, and runs batted in, with 24, this season. Smith and classmate Maya Triebold earned Second Team All-BRC honors this spring while senior Steph Little received honorable mention.

The softball honors for Witthus comes after she was named to the 2011-12 All-BRC Girls’ Basketball Team for the third straight season last winter.
