Business meeting set July 18

UW–River Falls has joined in a collaborative effort with Competitive Wisconsin Inc. (CWI) to hold a briefing session for area business, labor, civic and academic leaders to discuss work force development and training issues and learn about a major research study that will be conducted this summer.

UW–River Falls, along with universities and technical colleges all across the state, educate and train Wisconsin’s future work force. In order to gain a clear understanding of the work force issues facing our region, the university has joined in a collaborative effort with Competitive Wisconsin Inc. (CWI) to hold a briefing session for area business, labor, civic and academic leaders to discuss work force development and training issues and learn about a major research study that will be conducted this summer.

The St. Croix Valley briefing is Wednesday, July 18, from 9-10:30 a.m. at UW–River Falls Hudson Center, 2501 Hanley Road, Suite 200 in Hudson. In addition to stakeholder input on current issues, the 90-minute briefing will include an overview of Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) programs and other work force development and training initiatives around the state.
