Pastor Randy Fredrikson and his wife Elaine, accompanied by their son Ben, display the gift they received from the congregation of First Baptist Church at their farewell open house and program on Sunday.

It’s a framed giclee canvas of Rick Kelley’s painting of the Hudson riverfront, titled “Reflections of Hudson,” with the First Baptist steeple rising above the treetops beyond the dike road.

The Fredriksons are leaving Hudson for Sioux Falls, S.D., after 17 years of ministry at First Baptist.

Pastor Randy is going into semi-retirement. He will be serving as chaplain at a retirement complex where his father, Roger, resides.

The Fredriksons’ son Joel and his wife, Traci, also live in Sioux Falls. Ben is staying put in Minneapolis.
