The Lake Mallalieu Association announced it will hold the 18th annual Fourth of July Boat Parade and Floating Party.
Festivities begin at 1 p.m. All types of boats are welcome. Boaters in the parade are to gather in the bay west of the Second Street bridge prior to the start of the parade. People are encouraged to add patriotic décor to their vessels.
Boats will travel slowly in a counter-clockwise direction around the lake, culminating at Sally’s Alley Bay. Water volleyball, socializing, and relaxing will be offered on the far north-eastern side of the lake following the parade. Participants are welcome to bring friends, family, and neighbors along.
Those not participating are invited to watch from the bridge over the lake or at the public boat landing on the Hudson side. Boaters are to note that there is no direct access from the St. Croix River to the lake.
Jim Thomas is the event coordinator. For more information, call the Lake Mallalieu Association at (715) 386-1697.
