Bands sought to perform at county fair

Bands are needed for St. Croix County Fair’s Battle of the Bands, scheduled for July 20, at the St. Croix County Fairgrounds in Glenwood City.

Bands will have 20-30 minutes to set-up, perform, and take down. Time slots will be determined by the number of entries received. To enter, a contract must be signed, and mailed with the $35 entry fee to Heather Clark, 2302 Hwy. 46, Deer Park, WI 54013.

Entries will be accepted until July 10 if there is still room available. Contracts are available at the fair’s website www.stcroixcofair.com, or by contacting stev0264@umn.edu who will email the form. Cash prizes will be awarded at the end of the evening to the top three bands: $500 for first place, $300 for second place, and $100 for third place. To be eligible a band must be amateur and non-represented.

Any style music, and any age of band members is welcome, but the music and performance must be family friendly.
