REGULAR MEETING OF THE COMMON COUNCIL

JUNE 11, 2012 - MINUTES

Meeting called to order by Mayor Alan Burchill in the Council Chambers of City Hall at 7:00 p.m. Mayor Burchill led those present in the pledge of allegiance.

PRESENT: Mayor Burchill and Alderpersons Randy Morrissette, Mary Yacoub, Lori Bernard, Kurt TeWinkel, and John Hoggatt.

ABSENT: Alderperson Rich Vanselow was excused.

MOTION by Morrissette, second by Yacoub to approve the following consent agenda items:

The Regular Meeting minutes of 5/30/12.

Claims for payment of $60,485.64 for payables and $197,102.66 for payroll for a total of $257,588.30.

Issuance of regular Operator Licenses for the period 6/12/12 to 6/30/14 to: Allan J. Ballard, 1096 W. 8th St., Apt. 207, New Richmond, WI; David L. Craig, 549 Old Hwy. 35, Hudson; Nicole C. Domke, 208 Wisconsin St. N, #314, Hudson; Kim L. Dugan, 702 8th St. N. Apt. A, Hudson; Julie K. Manor, 320 Morning Glory Circle, Glenwood City, WI; Susan K. Manning, 704 Somers St. N., Hudson; Ruth E. Peterson, 735 11th St. S. #6, Hudson; Carol J. Raley, 319 Third St., Hudson; Christina S. Rykiss, 1920 Brookstone Circle, Hudson; Regina M. Issuance of a Temporary Operator’s license to be used June 29 to July 1, 2012 during Hudson Booster Days to Tracey J. Jenkinson, 914 St. Croix St. N., Hudson, WI.

Issuance of an Amusement Device Owner’s License to Curt A. Lindbert d/b/a Namco Entertainment, Inc. and permits for 10 amusement machines.

Issuance of a Taxicab Service License to FDS Enterprises d/b/a A Taxi/Hudson Taxi for the period 7/1/12 to 6/30/13 and issuance of Taxi Driver Licenses to the following: Robert J. Francis, 421 192 Ave., Somerset, WI; Brian L. Lovejoy, 649 115th St., Amery, WI and Douglas J. Luchsinger, 997 RiverCrest Rd. N., Lakeland, MN.

Issuance of a Taxicab Service License to Kilimanjaro Taxicab Services for the period 7/1/12 to 6/30/13, and issuance of Taxi Driver Licenses to the following: Robert K. Mabeya, 17429 Gettysburg Way, Lakeville, MN; Elijah M. Omweno, 1722 14th Ave. E., Menomonie, WI and Chelsea M. Morris, 1853 Case Ave. E., St. Paul, MN (All licenses to be issued contingent on payment of any outstanding debt owed to the City.)

Place on file the quarterly reports of the Public Works and Parks director, and the Wastewater director, and the Community Access Board minutes of 5/24/12 and Board of Review minutes of 5/30/12.

Roll call vote taken, all ayes (5) MOTION CARRIED.

MOTION by Yacoub, second by Bernard to approve an easement agreement with Heather and Monty Eggers to construct a fence at 35 Canary Way (within a utility easement area). All ayes (5) MOTION CARRIED.

MOTION by Morrissette, second by TeWinkel to adjourn the meeting. All ayes (5) MOTION CARRIED at 7:07 p.m.
