Hudson Middle School has set dates and times for registration for the 2012-2013 school year. Parents or guardians of students new to the district should call the middle school office at (715) 377-3820 as soon as possible.
Registration dates are:
--Aug. 7, Eighth-graders with last names beginning A to K are noon– 3 p.m.; L to Z from 3- 6 p.m.
--Aug. 8, Seventh-graders with last names beginning A to K are noon – 3 p.m.; L to Z from 3-6 p.m.
--Aug. 9, Sixth-graders with last names beginning A to K are noon – 3 p.m.; L to Z from 3-6 p.m.
Those unable to make any of the scheduled registration days should contact the school prior to the first day of classes. Families are encouraged to register students prior to Aug. 29 so schedules can be completed before the first day of school.
Parents with students in more than one grade level may register all students at the same time.
All individual student school pictures will be taken at registration. Photo packages from LifeTouch are available and may also be purchased at the time of registration.
Please bring updated demographic, health and emergency forms. This will expedite the registration process.
Sports participation fees must be paid at registration. Physical and insurance waiver forms must be completed and turned in to the office prior to the first practice. All sports forms may be picked up in the school office prior to registration.
Separate checks are needed for the following:
--Registration/Physical Ed. Fee - $20 payable to Hudson Middle School
--Seventh grade only - $5 for a take home paperback book for Language Arts payable to Hudson Middle School
--Student Picture package of your choice payable to LifeTouch, Inc.
--Lunch Program – amount of your choosing payable to Child Nutrition Department.
--Yearbook - $15 payable to Hudson Middle School.
• Sports participation fee - $30 per sport/$120 max. per family payable to School Dist. of Hudson
St. Croix County Public Health Department will again be offering a vaccination clinic at HMS on Thursday, Aug. 9 from 1-3:00p.m. to administer a booster of Tetanus, Diptheria, & acellular Pertussis vaccine known as Tdap for 6th grade and a second dose of the chicken pox vaccine known as the Varicella for grades 6 and 12. Please watch the district website for further information.
Physical Education: There is no required uniform, however, clothing appropriate for physical activity is expected. Students should have athletic style shorts, sweatpants and t-shirt or sweatshirt. The Middle School does not sell nor will we be providing swimsuits for instructional swimming units. There is a swimsuit style requirement. Boys must have a drawstring swimsuit. Girls must have a one piece swimsuit. Please refer to the supply list for more information.
