At least two cars were involved in a crash on the eastbound lanes of Interstate 94, just east of Exit 4 in Hudson, at about 10:30 a.m. Friday.
A station wagon lay on its roof in the middle of the eastbound lanes when emergency responders arrived on the scene.
A sedan with front-end damaged was pulled to the right shoulder of the freeway.
A St. Croix EMS ambulance was at the scene, along with Hudson fire engines, law enforcement officers and tow trucks.
The overturned car was removed from the highway within a half-hour of the crash.
Eastbound traffic was narrowed to one inside lane while the crash was being cleared, resulting a long back-up.
The Wisconsin State Patrol reported that all eastbound lanes were reopened at 11:06 a.m.
