Letter-Offers info about Kreitlow

Dear Editor,

Just to clarify information given in a recent letter to the editor, Mrs. Kreitlow is Dr. Sharry Kreitlow, an OB-GYN at the Marshfield Clinic. Pat Kreitlow and Sharry met at UW-Eau Claire. Sharry grew up on a dairy farm in Manitowoc. Her family sometimes had to sell a cow to help pay for textbooks while she was going to college. To help get her through medical school, Pat worked multiple jobs. They personally know what sacrifice and frugality means. More importantly, they know we need to protect access to the American Dream for his daughters' and grandson's generations.

I think it is shocking that Kyle Lumis would praise Congressman Duffy for his personal frugality. This is a Congressman who has publicly complained that he is struggling on his $174,000 salary and government benefits.

Further, Congressman Duffy voted for the Ryan Budget that makes the deficit worse, cuts Pell grants and forces seniors to pay thousands more for health care. We shouldn’t be talking about token visuals of frugality, but we should be talking about the real issues and who’s really serious about cutting wasteful spending and tackling the deficit the correct way.
