The Green Bay Packers will try to avoid falling to 0-2 when they host the Chicago Bears Thursday night. The kickoff is at 7:20 p.m. on the NFL Network, which claimed a Thursday night package for the entire season from Week 2 on.
The Packers are coming off an eight-point home loss to San Francisco last Sunday, while the Bears routed Indianapolis at home.
The Packers may have to play without receiver Greg Jennings tonight. He’s listed as doubtful with the groin injury he suffered last Sunday. Coach Mike McCarthy says he’ll decide today whether Jennings will suit up.
Green Bay linebacker Terrell Manning is out with a concussion. Running back James Starks and cornerback Davon House are both listed as doubtful with their lingering injuries.
Defensive end C.J. Wilson is questionable with a groin injury, and linebacker Jamari Lattimore is also questionable with a bad ankle.
For the Bears, cornerback Charles Tillman and tight end Kyle Adams are both questionable. Linebacker Brian Urlacher is listed as probable with a knee injury, but he fully participated in Chicago’s last practice.
Badgers host Utah State
Wisconsin defensive end Brendan Kelly hopes to play on Saturday night when the Badgers host Utah State.
Kelly injured a hamstring in last weekend’s 10-7 loss at Oregon State. He’s been practicing this week, but his chief understudy, Pat Muldoon, is expected to see a lot of playing time.
Muldoon, a redshirt junior, replaced Kelly after his injury. Muldoon led the Badger defensive line with four tackles and a pass break-up.
The Badgers are 1-1 going into Saturday night’s contest. Utah State is 2-0.
