SEPT. 18, 2012: HHS grad found dead
A memorial for Jordan Costello will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 22 at the Faith Community Church in Hudson. A visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the church as well as from 4-7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 21 at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home - Hudson Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials given will be donated the Humane Society in honor of Jordan and her love of animals.
Friends of Jordan Costello are remembering the 18-year-old on a Facebook memory page following the news of her death at her home Monday night.
Police confirmed that they were called to her home on Grandview Drive around 8 p.m. but did not release her name or any details about the circumstances of her death. She was the daughter of Melisa and Vince Costello.
Costello graduated from Hudson High School last June. According to the Star-Observer graduation supplement, she played soccer and worked at Walmart. She was attending UW-River Falls.
Hudson High School has made their counseling staff available to students and staff reacting to Costello’s death.
HHS Principal Laura Love said in a statement Tuesday that Costello was beloved by friends and members of the HHS girls’ soccer team. “Jordan’s death has had an impact on many in the high school community and beyond. She will be dearly missed.”
Information about services for Costello were not available at press time.
