Runners sweep Rice Lake Invite
Ryan Kromer won the boys’ race and four Raider girls finished in the top ten as Hudson’s cross country teams swept the team titles at the 29-team Rice Lake Invitational last Tuesday. Ryan Kromer won the boys’ race and four Raider girls finished in the top ten as Hudson’s cross country teams swept the team titles at the 29-team Rice Lake Invitational last Tuesday.
Kromer finished over a minute faster than his closest competitor to win the boys’ individual title with a time of 15 minutes, 57 seconds. Bryce Miler of Ashland was runner-up with a time of 17:00.
Jack Kadidlo came in with a ninth place time of 17:37 and Donald Clark was 14th in 18:05, while Grant Starr finished 17th in 18:12 and Anders Christensen was 18th in 18:15.
Hudson’s boys finished with a team score of 59 while Colfax was second with 131.
Sadie Kroll led the Raider girls with a second place time of 19:49 on the 5K course while Ellen Snyder finished fourth in 20:17, Rachel Anderson was seventh in 20:35 and Erin Wetzstein placed eighth in 20:36. Patsy Castro added a 14th place time of 21:45 to give the Raiders a team score of 35. Rice Lake was a distant second with 136.
The Raiders hosted the 46th annual Hudson Invitational this past Tuesday and will compete next at the prestigious Roy Griak Invitational, hosted by the University of Minnesota, Sept. 29 at the Les Bolstad Golf Course in St. Paul.
