A group of about 30 swimmers from Hudson Area Swim Association (HASA) recently celebrated the start of the short course season with a team outing to view “Finding Nemo 3D.” Some of the swimmers attended the movie with new head coach Bob Young. In addition to welcoming a new head coach, the team is growing and currently has approximately 130 swimmers. In addition to returning assistant coaches Emily Moelter and Becky Lewis, HASA recently welcomed three new assistant coaches -- Allyssa Nellis, Jordan Klien and Lindsey Halsey. HASA kicks of the fall season with a mini-meet Sept. 27, followed by meets throughout October, November and December in such venues as Farmington, Stillwater, Maple Grove, River Falls, Northdale, and more. HASA will be hosting a “C Extravaganza” swim meet at Hudson Middle School on Saturday, Nov. 10. More information about the swim team can be found at http://www.hudsonswimteam.org.
