Events to benefit breast cancer cause
It will be all about beating breast cancer Oct. 12-13 in downtown Hudson. “Go Pink for Life” is described as a shopping and dining event Friday, Oct. 12, and Saturday, Oct. 13, in downtown Hudson. Both events benefit the Hudson Relay For Life. Pink bows will be displayed in participating businesses and restaurants that will offer food and specials, pink gifts and accessories and more.

“Go Pink for Life” is described as a shopping and dining event Friday, Oct. 12, and Saturday, Oct. 13, in downtown Hudson. Both events benefit the Hudson Relay For Life.
Pink bows will be displayed in participating businesses and restaurants that will offer food and specials, pink gifts and accessories and more. As an added incentive, those spending $10 or more will receive free tulip bulbs. A percentage of store sales will go to the Relay For Life.
The fourth annual “Bras for a Cause” block party will be held the same weekend on Saturday from noon-4 p.m. at First and Walnut streets.
The charity event includes entertainment, games and hot and cold thirst quenchers. Those attending will also have the opportunity to vote on the best and most creatively decorated bra followed by a silent auction to purchase the creative efforts of Hudson women. The event will be emceed by Missy Germain, co-host of “The Ice Pak Show” and owner-contributor of www.BittenandBound.com.
Submit a decorated bra with a $25 donation to Ultimissimo, Dick's Bar and other participating downtown retailers to enter. All entries will be displayed and are eligible to win three top prizes including gift certificates for Barkers and San Pedro's with a grand prize worth over $500.
Wristbands to attend the party can be purchased for $5 at Salon Ultimissimo, Dick's Bar and Grill, and other participating downtown businesses or at the gate on Oct. 13. Ticket includes one voting ballot. Ballots will also be available for purchase at the block party.

@t:Anyone needing an artistic nudge can attend a “Bra Design Evening” held at Dick’s Bar and Grill on Oct. 4 at 6 p.m. Participants can bring their bra and get advice on how to create their own masterpiece.
There will be glue guns and a wide variety of decorations like shells, ribbons, beads, bottle caps, and all manner of baubles to inspire a unique design. There will also be half-price appetizers and drink specials to fuel the creative process.
