Michael D. Ross, 68

Michael D. Ross, age 68, of Hudson, Wis., died on Sunday, Oct. 7.

Mike was born April 6, 1944, in Minneapolis, Minn., to parents Andrew and Lorraine (Kuppe) Ross. Mike attended Immaculate Conception School and graduated from Hopkins High School. Mike was a Vietnam War veteran, serving his country in the United States Marine Corps. He was united in marriage to Patti Stambaugh on Jan. 24, 1996.

Mike was self-employed as a restaurateur, owning and operating Mik-Patti's Grill & Bar of Rockford, Minn.; Hanover, Minn.; and Oceanside, Calif. Mike was also active in the Lions Club and served as a past president. Mike enjoyed golfing, fishing, cruises, riding scooters, and vacationing in Savannah, Ga.

Mike is survived by his wife, Patti; mother, Lorraine Tersteeg; sisters, Kathleen Guibert, Patricia Kramer, and Karen Mortrud; brothers, Andrew Ross, William Ross, John Tersteeg, George Tersteeg, and Bradley Tersteeg; and numerous extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Andrew Ross; stepfather, Raymond Tersteeg; and brother Raymond Tersteeg.

Memorial services for Michael D. Ross will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 10, at the O'Connell Family Funeral Home, 520 S. 11th St., Hudson. Pastor Larry Szyman will officiate. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Burial with full military honors will take place at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
