The ensemble consists of Daria Adams, violin; Cléa Galhano, recorder; Kathryn Greenbank, oboe; Charles Ullery, bassoon; and Layton James, harpsichord, all but one of whom are, or were, members of The Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra.

The band will announce its program from the stage with commentary about the music, the instruments, and the players. Selections will include concertos by G.P. Telemann, A. Vivaldi, and J. Boismortier, as well as sonatas by Couperin, Corelli, Bach, and Zelenka. In addition, the ensemble will play a concerto composed for them by James, and conclude with a serenade composed by J. Haydn for the King of Sicily.

The quintet has played together for eight years, performing at house concerts in the Twin Cities, and at more exotic locations such as the Wyoming Theatre in Sheridan, and twice at Music in the Vineyards in Napa, California. They have collaborated with guest artists such as Tanya Tomkins, cello, and soprano Karen Clift.

Tickets are $22 for adults and $15 for students of all ages. Discounts are available by purchasing season tickets. Reservations may be made by contacting The Phipps ticket office at (715) 386-8409.
