Time for the Great Pumpkins
In preparation for Halloween, Nolan Prohaska grew giant pumpkins in his yard at the corner of Ninth and Vine streets.
In preparation for Halloween, Nolan Prohaska grew giant pumpkins in his yard at the corner of Ninth and Vine streets.
This photo from early October shows a pair of the big pumpkins resting in the shade of a pine tree.
Prohaska said one weighed 279 pounds and the other topped the scales at 286 pounds.
