TOWN OF ST. JOSEPH: NOTICE OF PUBLIC BUDGET HEARING 11/15/12

Notice is hereby given that the PUBLIC HEARING on the PROPOSED BUDGET for the Town of St Joseph has been scheduled for Thursday, November 15, 2012 at 7:00 pm in the Town Hall located at the intersection of County Roads V and E.

The proposed budget in detail is available for inspection in the clerk’s office at the town hall from 9 am to 1 pm Monday through Thursday. Posting of the summary budget has been completed at the following three locations: in the Town Hall window, Consolidated Energy Co-op in Burkhardt, and the Oasis Market/Fast Trip Marathon in Houlton. The following is a summary of the Proposed 2013 Budget (see attached PDF file):

NOTICE OF TOWN MEETING OF ELECTORS

Town of St Joseph, 1337 County Rd V, Hudson, WI 54016

Notice is hereby given that the Town Meeting of Electors of the Town of St. Joseph has been scheduled for Thursday, November 15th, 2012 immediately following completion of the public hearing on the Proposed 2012 Budget scheduled to begin at 7 pm at the Town Hall of St Joseph at 1337 County Road V, Hudson, Wisconsin. This Town Meeting of the Electors, called by the town board pursuant to Sec. 60.12(1)(c) of the Wisconsin Statues, will be held for the following purposes:

1. To approve the total 2013 highway expenditures pursuant to sec. 82.03(2) of the Wisconsin Statues.

2. To approve the 2012 town tax levy to be collected in 2013 pursuant to sec. 60.10(1)(a) of the Wisconsin Statutes.

3. To approve compensation for elected town officials for the next term of office pursuant to Section 60.10(1)(b)(1) of Wisconsin Statutes

4. Discussion with possible action the Separation of Town Clerk/Treasurer position to Town Clerk and Town Treasurer.

5. Reconsideration of action changing from appointed Town Clerk Treasurer or Town Clerk and Town Treasurer positions to elected positions.

6. To authorize the Town Board to “Appropriate money for the conservation of natural resources or for payment to a bona fide nonprofit organization for the conservation of natural resources within the town or beneficial to the town” under section 60.23(6).

7. To authorize the Town Board to “Appropriate money for the control of insects, weeds or plant or animal diseases within the Town of St Joseph” under section 60.23(8).

8. To Authorize the Town Board to “Appropriate money for a civic function and other functions” (Fall Festival) under 60.23(3)

9. To address any items brought forth by the electors pursuant to sec. 60.10(1) of the Wisconsin Statutes.

NOTICE OF TOWN BOARD MEETING

Town of St Joseph

A Town Board Meeting has been scheduled for November 15, 2012 immediately following the Budget Hearing, beginning at 7 pm, and the Town Meeting of Electors for the Town of St Joseph at the Town Hall located at 1337 County Road V, Hudson, Wisconsin. The purpose of the meeting is to amend and adopt the 2013 Budget.
