Hartzell Lozier, 77

Hartzell Duane Lozier, age 77, of New Richmond, Wis., formerly of Burkhardt, Wis., passed away on Nov. 8 at Westfields Hospital in New Richmond after a valiant fight with cancer.

Hartzell was born on Nov. 16, 1934, to Ava Lozier, in Rock Elm, Wis. Following his education, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy, and upon his discharge, began working at Norlake Refrigeration. After 37 years with Norlake, he retired in 1999. Hartzell enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, dancing, and socializing.

He is survived by his children Duane (Debbie) Lozier of Wyoming, Minn., Steve (Linda) Lozier of Grantsburg, Wis., Geraldine Lozier of Centuria, Wis., Rose (Steve) Greenberg of Star Prairie, Wis., Deanna (Mark) Holland of Cushing, Wis., Guy (Jean) Lozier of Cambridge, Minn., and Linda (Joe) Schwartzbauer of Grantsburg; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and very close friend, Beverly Pederstuen and family.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Loretta; mother, Ava; grandmother, Lillian; and son James.

Service will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 13, with visitation 1 hour prior, at Roberts UCC, 1001 Birch Dr. Interment at a later date.
