Local attorney James "Jamie" Johnson announced this week that he intends to file for candidacy for Hudson School Board for the election in April 2013.
Local attorney James "Jamie" Johnson announced this week that he intends to file for candidacy for Hudson School Board for the election in April 2013.
Johnson, a town of Hudson resident, is an attorney with the Lommen Abdo law firm and works out of the Hudson office, 400 So. Second St.
He is the current president of Hudson Daybreak Rotary Club and has served as President of the Bethel Lutheran Church Council and co-chaired previous capital campaigns. He has also volunteered in various capacities for Hudson schools, including co-chairing the Hudson Senior All-Night Graduation Party with his wife, Jean.
“I have been privileged to serve the Hudson community in many ways,” Johnson said. “I believe our community and our schools are at a critical juncture. I welcome the chance to work with people who have different perspectives, and to help build positive consensus as we move forward together.”
He and his wife have lived in the Hudson school district for 22 years and all three of their children graduated from Hudson High School.
He twice ran as a Democrat for the state assembly. He lost in 1996 to then-incumbent Sheila Harsdorf and lost in 1998 to Kitty Rhoades.
