The annual Candlelight Stroll in downtown Hudson took place Friday evening, Nov. 30.

Balmy temperatures for the last day in November contributed to a big turnout for the event sponsored by downtown shops and restaurants.

On Saturday morning, a clerk at Pangea International Jewelry and Gifts said the shop had its best three hours of business ever during the event. Many of the shops were crowded with customers and the restaurants were busy.

Luminaries lined the sidewalks and carolers strolled the streets. The singers included the River City Chorale, the Hudson High School Swing Choir and the Shamrocks from St. Patrick School. Gagnon Inc. sponsored horse-drawn carriage rides.
