Robert L. 'Bob' Richmond, 61

Robert L. "Bob" Richmond, age 61, of Hudson, Wis., died on Monday, Dec. 10, at the Christian Community Home in Hudson.

Bob was born Feb. 12, 1951, in Kingsport, Tenn., to parents David and Eva (Fugate) Richmond. Bob graduated from high school in Maryland and attended the University of Maryland, where he earned his degree in information technology. Bob was united in marriage to his wife Holly on June 30, 2000, in Lake Tahoe, Calif.

Bob worked for more than 20 years as an IT manager at the U.S. Postal Service, Eagan, Minn., facility. Outside of work, Bob enjoyed spending time with his wife, Holly. Bob also loved dogs and enjoyed raising his German Shepherds. Bob was well respected among his peers, and those who knew him also knew his funny side and good sense of humor. He will be missed by his family and many friends and co-workers.

Bob is survived by his wife, Holly; his sons, Joseph (Amanda) Richmond of Australia and Matthew Richmond of Eden Prairie, Minn.; grandchildren, Tallulah, Jasper, Ashby, and Caleb; his brother, Tony (Beth) Richmond; and his beloved German Shepherd Maxamillian.

He was preceded in death by his parents and beloved dogs Oscar and Schatze.

A private service followed by burial at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery will take place at a later date.
