Bell ringing marathon worth the effort at County Market
The scene was County Market for the second year in a row. Derek Gilbert owner of Anchor Insurance joined by Jeremy Lilyquist, an agent at Anchor Insurance repeated their commitment to the Salvation Army's Red Kettle campaign.
The annual Red Kettle 30-hour bell ringing marathon resulted in a record $48,211 in donations last week. Returning to ring at County Market were Derek Gilbert and Jeremy Lilyquist of Anchor Insurance, and, at Walmart in New Richmond, Linda Lewis. From the left are Gilbert, owner of Anchor Insurance, Anchor agent Lilyquist, and Duana Bremer, director of the Salvation Army in St. Croix County. Bremer said an anonymous donor gave $10,000 during the marathon.
