Joan C. Hanson, 77

Joan C. (Plahn) Hanson, age 77, of Minneapolis, passed away Dec. 20.

Preceded in death by parents; husband, Douglas; daughter-in-law Sherry; sister, Mary Jean Plahn.

Survived by children, Barb (Eric) Pederson, Scott; four grandchildren, Alex, Sam, Neal, Natalie; brother, Bob Plahn; brother-in-law Gary Hanson, and nephew, Greg Plahn; other family and friends.

She graduated from the Hudson, Wis., high school in 1953 and the Swedish Hospital School of Nursing in 1956. Joan was a devoted nurse and advocate for her patients for many years.

Memorials preferred to the Parish Nurse Program at Minnehaha Methodist Church or Bay Lake Camp.

Funeral service 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 27, with visitation 1 hour prior to service, at Minnehaha United Methodist Church, 3701 E. 50th St., Minneapolis. Private interment Ft. Snelling Cemetery.
