Snowmobile safety starts Jan. 21
Snowmobile safety classes will be held Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday, Jan. 21, 23 and 26. Classes are Monday/Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. and 8 a.m.-noon on Saturday. Attendance is mandatory at all three classes to obtain safety certificate.

Anyone born after Jan. 1, 1985, must have a safety certificate to operate a snowmobile on public land or trails. Persons 16 or older may obtain a snowmobile safety certificate by taking an Internet course from the Department of Natural Resources. There is more information available on the Wisconsin DNR website.
Classes are $10 and held at the Hudson Rod and Gun Club,
Contact Jim Hallen at (651) 247-1654 or Dan Kirkpatrick at (715) 386-4145 to register. Class will be limited to 40 participants. Students must be 11 to take the course and must be 12 to operate a snowmobile with the safety certificate.
