The Raider boys’ swim and dive team dropped its Big Rivers Conference opener to the Eau Claire Memorial/North co-op team, 128-57, last Thursday, Jan. 3 in Eau Claire.
Two days later the Raiders finished fifth at the Simley Invitational.
Last Thursday in Eau Claire, Willie Skinner and Sawyer Arndt provided the only Raider first place finishes in back-to-back races. Skinner won the 100 yard freestyle in 51.53 seconds while Arndt took first in the 500 free with a time of 5 minutes, 27.87 seconds. Ross Wusterbarth gave the Raiders two of the top three places in the 100 free with a third place time of 57.5 seconds.
Saturday, the Raiders went up against four larger Minnesota schools that also had the luxury of allowing seventh- and eighth-graders to compete, and finished fifth with a total of 320 points.

The Raiders will travel to Chippewa Falls for a BRC dual meet Thursday, Jan. 10. They will host Rice Lake in a BRC meet next Thursday, Jan. 17, at 6:30 p.m.
