Glasbrenner to talk about wrongful conviction
Audrey Glasbrenner Edmunds, a former Pepper Fest queen, was tried and convicted of killing an infant in her care. “It Happened to Audrey” tells her story that led ultimately to her sentence being overturned. She will be at Chapter 2 Books on Jan. 25 at 6 p.m.By: Meg Heaton, Hudson Star-Observer
On Saturday, Jan. 25, Audrey Glasbrenner Edmunds will be at Chapter 2 Books on Second Street to talk about her book “It Happened to Audrey,” which she co-authored with Jill Wellington.
In 1995 Edmunds, a Hudson High School graduate and former Pepper Fest queen, was living near Madison with her husband and two children, and another child on the way, when a child in her care died, allegedly of Shaken Baby Syndrome at her hands.
She was tried and convicted and spent 11 years in prison before her conviction was overturned.
Glasbrenner's family still lives in the area.
