Marie Blakeman Award
Trudy Popenhagen of Xcel Energy was the winner of the Marie Blakeman Award at the annual Hudson Area Chamber of Commerce & Tourism Bureau banquet Tuesday, Jan. 22, at the YMCA Camp St. Croix. Large Business Award
The Large Business of the Year Award (more than 20 employees) went to Hudson’s Christian Community Home. The Small Business of the Year Award (less than 20 employees) went to RJs Meats and Groceries. Chamber Member of the Year Award
Kathy Newman, owner of Et Cetera in downtown Hudson, was honored as the Chamber Member of the Year. At the presentation were, from left, Chamber President Kim Heinemann, Jon Strand (son), Kathy Newman, husband Mark Newman and Tim Strand (son).

Volunteer of the Year Award
The Community Volunteer of the Year award went to Hudson High School student Katelyn Baier. She formed a foundation titled “Blankets for a Brighter Day” and with the help of others has, so far, donated 737 blankets to the Minneapolis Children’s hospital. Chamber Ambassador of the Year
Hudson Area Chamber of Commerce Ambassador of the Year award went to Traci Leffner, center. Also at the presentation were Chamber President Kim Heinemann, left, and last year's winner Pete Keskey. The tiara is part of a tradition with the award.
