With 100 percent participation from its board of directors and 80 percent support from its employees, the annual Y Partners campaign for YMCA in Hudson has launched its community-wide fund drive.

The Y Partners campaign raises funds to provide financial assistance to people and families who could otherwise not be members or participate in Y events and programs because of financial hardship.

Kari Rambo, Y board chairman said, “Our mission to give all individuals the opportunity to belong to the Y truly makes us a community partner.”

Y executive director Bryan Soper said that support for the Y Partners campaign comes from all directions. “Even with the recession, we have had continued support from the board of directors, our employees, area businesses and local organizations as well as from our individual members and non-members in the community.”

But as good as the support has been, Soper and Rambo hope to see this year’s campaign grow even more to reach or go beyond the goal of $106,000.

All donations to the campaign stay in Hudson. To make a donation, contact the Y in Hudson at (715) 386-1616 or go online at www.ymcatwincities.org/locations/hudson_ymca and click on Give.
