Michael "Keeper" Reetz passed away on Feb. 8 from prostate and bone cancer.
Michael "Keeper" Reetz passed away on Feb. 8 from prostate and bone cancer. He was born June 15, 1952.
Michael was preceded in death by his daughter, Julieane Tess (J.T.); brother Patrick; his parents, David and Phyllis Reetz; in-laws, Lloyd and Theresa Mattson, and many dear friends and relatives.
He had a quality of life instead of quantity of life, which was his wish.
Memorial service for Michael will be held at Moore Funeral Home Bowen Road, Arlington, Texas, at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 23.
He belonged to the Arlington Sportsman Club and served as the sergeant of arms for many years. He was also a certified master composter and volunteered his time at the University of Texas at Arlington as well as the River Legacy Park composting sites. Michael was an avid Green Bay Packer Backer and Cheese Head until the day he died. He worked for Starforms/Bowater/CST as a materials handler and press operator for more than 15 years, ending in 2000. In his earlier years, Michael was an avid Harley rider. He owned a 1986 FXRD, which was his pride and joy. This was the only year it was made. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1971-1975 aboard the USS Midway.
Survived by the love of his life, Patricia (Gator), for 37 years; brother Greg and wife, Yael: sisters-in-law, Susan, Joann, and Joetta; nieces, Missy, Schylene, and Alexandria; nephews, Scott, Kyle, and Manny.
