Three Raider girls all-BRC hockey

Three Raider girls’ hockey players have been named to 2012-13 All-Big Rivers Conference teams as voted on by the conference coaches.

Three Raider girls’ hockey players have been named to 2012-13 All-Big Rivers Conference teams as voted on by the conference coaches.

Junior forward Sydney Squires was named to the All-BRC First Team and junior forward Sara Iacobello was named to the Second Team while senior forward Bailey Knight received Honorable Mention.

Squires was honored by the conference coaches for the third straight season. She earned Honorable Mention honors as both a freshman and sophomore. She led the BRC in scoring this season with 24 goals and 12 assists for 36 points, averaging 1.89 points per game.

Iacobello finished sixth in the BRC in scoring with 12 goals and nine assists, while Knight had two goals and three assists.

Conference champion St. Croix Valley Fusion (River Falls/Baldwin-Woodville/St. Croix Central/Glenwood City) had the most players named to All-BRC teams with seven, while Eau Claire/Altoona and Chippewa Falls/Menomonie had four each.

St. Croix Valley’s Kalli Armagost and Eau Claire Altoona’s Damille Herzog shared BRC Player of the Year honors.
