Burglars hit Smokedale and Kingdom Buffet

Hudson police are investigating two break-ins on the hill in the early morning hours on Sunday.

Burglars smashed the glass in doors at the both Kingdom Buffet, 2312 Crest View Drive, and at Smokedale, 1525 Coulee Road. Police believe the incidents happened around the same time, just after midnight on Sunday.

HPD Det. Sgt. Geoff Willems said Monday that he did not have information yet on what property, if any, was taken. An investigation is underway.

Kingdom Buffet is located at the south end of the shopping complex that includes County Market. Smokedale only recently opened in Hudson and describes itself as a “tobacco superstore.”
