Dr. Stephanie Roberts Long was recently named Wisconsin Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology Association’s 2013 Audiologist of the Year at a ceremony in Wisconsin Dells.

Long graduated from Hudson High School in 1988. She received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Iowa, her master’s degree from Northwestern University and her doctorate from A.T. Still University, Arizona School of Health Sciences.

She has been an audiologist for close to 20 years and has worked with more than a dozen school districts in northeast Wisconsin. She is in her third year of private practice in Appleton.

In her nomination for the award, Long was described as an exceptional, caring, empathetic, respectful and patient professional. “Dr. Long treats every patient who walks in the door like they are a member of her own family. She really goes the extra mile in providing great care and service to her patients.”

Long is the daughter of Chuck and Kathy Roberts of North Hudson. They were on hand to see her receive her award.
