It's another day of hazardous travel for the Hudson area

A two-vehicle crash on the Carmichael Road overpass of Interstate 94 was one of several accidents Hudson police and St. Croix County sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to between 8 and 9 a.m.

The wintery mix of sleet, followed by snow, that fell Friday morning, March 15, made for another day of hazardous driving.

A northbound car slid into the median of Hwy. 35 north of Hanley Road, and at least three cars were in the ditch farther south on the highway.

Light snow was continuing at 10:30 a.m. Friday.

The forecast called for snow and freezing rain, become all snow after 3 p.m. The high temperature is predicted to be near 34 degrees.

A total daytime ice accumulation of 0.1 to 0.2 of an inch is possible, the National Weather Service reports. The total daytime snow accumulation is expected to be 1 to 3 inches.

More snow is expected tonight, mainly before 1 a.m. An additional inch of snow tonight is possible, the Weather Service said.
