University of Wisconsin-Madison officials say they’re pleased that 94 percent of Badger football season ticket holders decided to renew their seats for this fall.

University of Wisconsin-Madison officials say they’re pleased that 94 percent of Badger football season ticket holders decided to renew their seats for this fall.
The renewal rate is down from the 98 to 99 percent figure the past two seasons.
But associate athletic director Vince Sweeney said the school realized that the economic downturn would have an impact.
He said the numbers are in line with the UW’s budget projections for the coming year.
And both athletic director Barry Alvarez and football coach Bret Bielema thanked fans in a statement released Tuesday.
