The Nobles of the St. Croix Valley Shrine Club will again host the Little East West Shrine Game on Saturday, Oct. 8, at UW-River Falls Ramer Field for the 50th year.
The homecoming game between UW-RF Falcons and UW-Whitewater begins at 1 p.m.
On Friday, Oct. 7, the weekend celebration will be kicked off with the Potentate's banquet at Kilkarney Hills Golf Club. Visiting dignitaries will include Zor President Steve Peterson of Wausau and members of Zor’s Board of Directors.
The weekend will be filled with fun activities including a grand parade starting at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, winding its way down Main Street in River Falls.
The parade will also feature Grand Marshal Colin Schone of Glenwood City. Colin received treatment from the Shriners Hospitals for Children® - Twin Cities.
Also appearing will be the ever popular Zor Roadrunners and other units of Shriners from all over the upper Midwest. In addition, the University will have their homecoming parade.
The Shrine Club will also host "Brats for Breakfast" Oasis at the West Wind Supper Club parking lot on Saturday morning starting at 8:30 am. Visiting Shrines and their guests have said, "Wisconsin is the only state in the union to serve bratwurst for breakfast."
Each year, UW-River Falls designates a home game to raise awareness of Shriners Hospitals for Children® - Twin Cities and tickets for the game sold by the Shriners benefit the hospitals. The Shriners of the St. Croix Valley will be visiting your community seeking donations. Look for the men in the bright red fez and give as generously as you can.
