Letter-Independent backs Obama
I am a registered independent voter. I earned that status by splitting the ticket, voting for responsible Republicans like Tommy Thompson. I even voted for Reagan in his second term -- not for his ridiculous trickle-down theory that still haunts us today, but for the "Morning in America" ad campaign that expressed his American optimism.
