Daniel J. “Jack” Greenwald, left, who took over the trusteeship of the Al and Laurie Hein Trust after the death of his father Dan, was recognized Monday night at the 30th annual Al Hein Memorial Golf Tournament. Greenwald traveled to Hudson from his home in Dubai to attend the event which is run by the Hudson Hospital Foundation to raise money for hospital projects. With Greenwald are representatives his father’s three favorite charities to which he made significant capital donations, the hospital, YMCA and Carpenter Nature Center. From Greenwald’s left are Rich O’Connor, chairman of the hospital foundation; Jay Griggs, who served on the boards of all three foundations; Hudson Mayor Alan Burchill, who organized the effort to build the St. Croix Valley YMCA and was its first president; and Jim Freund, treasurer of the Carpenter St. Croix Valley Nature Center.
