Joe Beaudry displays the Carnegie Medal that his father, the late Eugene Beaudry, received after saving the life of a young woman who fell through the ice while skating on Lake Mallalieu. At right is framed St. Paul newspaper story about the Dec. 2, 1932, accident. It includes a photo of Eugene Beaudry, left, with the woman he saved, Mary Wilcox.
