An event at the Hudson Jaycees Buena Vista Day event in 1972 was the sack race. Winners celebrated with custom-made trophies. The winners were, not in order, Cindy Schweitzer, Jeff Sullivan, Mary Brown and Dan Kamann. There was also a snow-sculpting event, and the winner was Mary Willman with second place going to Kelly Shaffer.
