Ruby D. Gunderson, 77, of Hudson died Wednesday, April 22, at her home. She was born the daughter of Peter and Florence Larson on July 29, 1931, in Grandview, Wis.

Ruby D. Gunderson, 77, of Hudson died Wednesday, April 22, at her home.

She was born the daughter of Peter and Florence Larson on July 29, 1931, in Grandview, Wis.

Ruby was a homemaker, afghan extraordinaire and a member of the Family of Christ Lutheran Church in Houlton.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Peter and Florence Larson; husband, Lloyd Gunderson (2002); daughter, Joy Lynn Gunderson; brother, Donald Larson; and sister, Evelyn Larson.

Ruby is survived by her children, Faye (Gerry) Nelson, Sheryl (Tom) Carlson and Hoyt Gunderson; grandchildren, Bjorn, Katie and Patrick Carlson, Andrew and Amanda Gunderson; brother, William (Blanche) Larson; sister, Diane Reinoff; sister-in-law, Charmaine Larson; and numerous relatives and friends.

A funeral service was Saturday, April 25, at 11 a.m. at Family of Christ Lutheran Church in Houlton with the Rev. Mark Schreiber officiating. Music was provided by Joy Schreiber and Katie Carlson.

Visitation was Friday, April 24, from 4-8 p.m. at Family of Christ Lutheran Church and also one hour before the service.

Interment was in Willow River Cemetery with Hoyt Gunderson, Tom Carlson, Gerry Nelson, Bjorn Carlson, Andrew Gunderson, Katie Carlson, Patrick Carlson and Amanda Gunderson as pallbearers.

Arrangements were with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services of Hudson.
