Janice Evonne Johnson-Peskar (nee Brathall), age 79, of River Falls, Wis., died Sunday, Nov. 27, at the Grace Health Care Center, River Falls.
Janice Evonne Johnson-Peskar (nee Brathall), age 79, of River Falls, Wis., died Sunday, Nov. 27, at the Grace Health Care Center, River Falls.
Janice was born on Oct. 10, 1932, in Wilson, Wis., to Clarence and Velda (Nale) Brathall. She was a graduate of Hudson High School. Janice married Richard Johnson in November of 1951; he died in 1967. In 1972, she married Harold Bruggeman; he died in 1978. In June of 1980, she married Harry Peskar; he died in 2005. Janice was a 44-year employee of J.H. Larson Co. in Hudson, Wis., retiring in 1994.
She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandkids. Janice also enjoyed knitting, reading, solving word puzzles, traveling, and spending time at the cabin in Hager City, Wis.
Janice is survived by her three daughters, Susan Wang, Karen Johnson, Kathy (Allen) Karlstad, all of River Falls; five grandchildren, Melissa Cernohous, Jennifer (Mike) Couch, Jon Krupa, Brent Linder, Pam (Jason) Belisle; 12 great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
Her parents and husbands preceded her in death.
A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 1, at Ezekiel Lutheran Church, River Falls. Rev. Mark Hall will officiate. Burial will be in the Willow River Cemetery, Hudson, Wis. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Cashman-Hill Funeral Home, River Falls, and for 1 hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday.
