Julius Selle, age 79, of Hudson, Wis., passed away on Nov. 26 at Regions Hospital in St. Paul, Minn.

Julius Selle, age 79, of Hudson, Wis., passed away on Nov. 26 at Regions Hospital in St. Paul, Minn.

Julius was born on Feb. 7, 1932, in Clayton, Wis., to Henry and Susanna (Kitzmann) Selle. He went to school in Clayton and after school he joined the Army for 2 years. When he returned home, he went to work at Andersen Window Corp. in Bayport, Minn. He worked there for 36 years before retiring in 1989. He married Alice Alfstad on Jan. 12, 1957, and together they had one child, Randy, who also works at Andersen's. After marriage, they made Clayton their home and, in 1960, moved to Hudson.

Julius was a member of the Dairyland Chapter Antique Car Club and enjoyed old cars, fishing and doing crafts, especially Packer crafts.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Leonard Selle.

He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Alice; son, Randy; granddaughter, Amanda Selle; and also sisters, Ruth Macoskey of Florence, Colo., Cleona Reynolds of Glendora, Calif., and Edna Kahl of New Holstein, Wis.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 2, at First Lutheran Church in Amery, Wis. A visitation was held from 4-7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 1, at the Williamson-White Funeral Home in Amery, as well as the hour prior to the service at the church. Pallbearers were Willis Selle, Bob Benson, Kenneth Jeske, Wayne Graunke, Tom Leisz, and Alan Johnson. Interment was at the Clayton Cemetery.
