Dennis Hanvelt, 60

Dennis A. "Denny" Hanvelt, age 60, of Hudson, formerly of River Falls, passed away Dec. 20 at Regions Hospital in St. Paul.

Dennis A. "Denny" Hanvelt, age 60, of Hudson, formerly of River Falls, passed away Dec. 20 at Regions Hospital in St. Paul.

Denny was born June 17, 1951, in River Falls, to Gordon and Beulah (Popple) Hanvelt. He graduated from River Falls High School in 1969. Denny worked for Delta Airlines for 41 years.

He was a devoted Green Bay Packers fan. Dennis enjoyed golfing, spending time with friends at Dick's Bar, and loved his time on the river with friends. He cherished his time with his three children and grandchildren and will be dearly missed by them.

Dennis is survived by his loving children, Travis (Laura) Hanvelt of Brooklyn Park, Erin (Brad) Houck of Savage, and Ashley Hanvelt and her fiancé, Shawn Kraft, of Farmington; grandchildren, Jaylee Hanvelt, Gwen Houck, Chance Kraft, and Leah “LuLu” Houck; mother, Beulah Hanvelt of South St. Paul; brother, Greg (Karen) Hanvelt of Bloomington; sister, Marie (Dale) Evans of White Bear Lake; three nieces and one nephew.

He was preceded in death by his father, Gordon Hanvelt.

A Celebration of Denny's Life will be held 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 27, at the O'Connell Family Funeral Home of Hudson.

Funeral services are entrusted to the O'Connell Family Funeral Home of Hudson and Countryside Crematory of Baldwin.

R.I.P. Denny. You will be missed by many in Hudson. I am glad you are no longer suffering but also sad that we lost you so soon. I know you're watching over us. We miss you my friend! -Alice
