Eldon "Eldie" Lundgren, 60, of Hayward, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2012.
Eldon "Eldie" Lundgren, 60, of Hayward, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Tuesday, Jan. 10.
Eldie was born May 31, 1951, in Plum City, Wis., and graduated from Elmwood High School. He earned a degree in structural engineering and concrete analysis from University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire. He worked for over 35 years as a mason specializing in stone, brick, block, and flatwork. He was an avid snowmobiler and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Eldie is survived by his wife, Marna of Hayward; four daughters, Mandy of Prescott, Megan of River Falls, Vickie (Tom) of Hudson, Barb (Doug) of Hudson; five grandchildren, Ben, Jake, Alex, Morgan and Billy; his loving dog Sophie; and many cousins.
Eldie was preceded in death by his aunt, Lorraine Thomas; and two uncles, Irvin Larson and Laverne Lundgren.
A memorial service celebrating Eldon’s life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 14, at the Anderson-Nathan-Koerpel Funeral Home in Hayward. A time of gathering will be held 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be at a later date in the Willow River Cemetery in Hudson, Wis.
