Donna Mae Olstad (nee Evenson), 79 years old, of Hudson, died May 18, at the Christian Community Home, after a hard-fought battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her family.
Donna Mae Olstad (nee Evenson), 79 years old, of Hudson, died May 18, at the Christian Community Home, after a hard-fought battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her family.
Donna was born on June 30, 1932, in the house that she still lived in today in Hudson. On July 10, 1954, she was married to Richard A. Olstad. They had two sons, Carl and Mark. She worked for Heywood and Hayes Law Offices in Hudson for over 30 years. She then went to work at 3M, where she stayed until she retired in 1995.
Survived by her husband, Richard; sons, Carl (Deb) and Mark (DeAnn); granddaughter, Cadie Olstad; grandson, Christopher Olstad; sister Edna Atwood; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Louise Evenson; sisters, Gladys Carlisle and Eunice Cole; brothers, Freeman Evenson, Palmer Evenson, and Gordon Evenson.
A memorial gathering will be from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, May 22, with a prayer service to conclude the evening at 7 p.m. at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home of Hudson. Interment will be in the Bethel Highlands Columbarium in Hudson.
