William Theodore Oberg died unexpectedly on June 30 at Mascot Resort, Hackensack, Minn., while vacationing with family and friends.
William Theodore Oberg died unexpectedly on June 30 at Mascot Resort, Hackensack, Minn., while vacationing with family and friends.
He was born April 17, 1944, to Earl and Marie Oberg in St. Paul, Minn.
Beloved by wife, Deborah Klatt Oberg; daughter Tiea (Tom) Crane, son Chad (Angela Pappas) Oberg, and their mother, Linda Oberg; grandchildren, Jeffrey, Ryan, and Anya Crane, and Brenna, Lauren, and Evangelia Oberg; brother Richard (Sue Doyle) Oberg; nieces, Kathryn (George) Moothedan, Kristin (Kraig) Klund and their families; Jessie Oberg. Also survived by aunts, uncles and cousins; mother-in-law, Donna Klatt; sisters-in-law, Deanne (Jeff) Fox, Denise (Merriell) Pieper; brothers-in-law, Douglas (Sandra) Klatt, David (Janell) Klatt, and Danny (Michelle) Klatt; and their families.
Bill was a graduate of Minnehaha Academy Class of 1962 and a 6-year veteran of the Minnesota Army National Guard.
A celebration of life will be held at O'Connell Funeral Home in Hudson, Wis., from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, July 11. Funeral services will be held at First Covenant Church of St. Paul at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 17. Interment at Union Cemetery, St. Paul.
Memorials preferred.
